Refund Policy
All sales are final. Scalecoat products are manufactured and packaged for specialized hobby, modeling, and finishing applications. Due to the nature of paint, solvents, coatings, chemicals, and related products, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations after an order has been processed or shipped.
Color and Finish Variations
We make every reasonable effort to represent product colors accurately. However, Scalecoat is not responsible for perceived color inaccuracies or differences caused by computer monitors, mobile devices, photography, lighting conditions, production batches, application methods, surface materials, primers, thinning ratios, air pressure, drying conditions, clear coats, weathering, or other variables outside our control.
Color names, photographs, swatches, and descriptions are provided as general references only and should not be considered an exact color-match guarantee. Customers should test the product on a small or inconspicuous area before completing a project.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or you receive an incorrect item, please email sales@scalecoat.com within 3 business days of delivery.
Your email must include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the affected product
- Photographs of the shipping carton and packaging if the shipment was damaged
Please retain all products, containers, shipping cartons, labels, and packing materials until your claim has been reviewed. Failure to report the issue within 3 business days or provide the requested documentation may prevent us from offering a replacement or other resolution.
Approved claims will be resolved at Scalecoat’s discretion through replacement of the affected item, shipment of the correct item, store credit, or refund of the applicable product price. Original shipping charges and expedited shipping fees are non-refundable unless the error was made by Scalecoat.
Product Use and Compatibility
Customers are responsible for reviewing product instructions, safety information, and compatibility requirements before use. Results may vary depending on the material being painted, surface preparation, equipment, application technique, environmental conditions, and use of other manufacturers’ products.
Scalecoat is not responsible for damage to models, tools, equipment, surfaces, decals, finishes, or other property resulting from improper use, incorrect application, inadequate testing, misuse, contamination, incompatible materials, or failure to follow product instructions and safety precautions.
Order Cancellations and Address Errors
Orders cannot be canceled or modified once processing has begun. Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Orders that are returned, delayed, lost, or delivered incorrectly because of an address entered by the customer are not eligible for a refund.
Shipping Delays
Delivery dates provided by shipping carriers are estimates and are not guaranteed by Scalecoat. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, transportation disruptions, hazardous-material shipping requirements, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside our control.
