Scalecoat ProSet Decal Setting Solution is a professional-strength formula designed to help waterslide decals soften, settle, and conform over rivets, seams, panel lines, and other fine surface detail. Ideal for model trains, locomotives, freight cars, aircraft, armor, automotive models, and other scale modeling projects, this high-performance decal solution helps create a smooth, painted-on appearance.

Scalecoat ProSet is formulated for modelers who need stronger decal setting action for difficult decals, thicker decal films, and detailed surfaces. The built-in brush applicator cap makes it easy to apply the solution exactly where needed for precise decal work on scale models and model railroad equipment.

Use full strength for stubborn decals and maximum softening action. For more delicate decals or lighter applications, ProSet may be diluted with distilled water as desired. A starting ratio of approximately 1 part water to 3 parts solution provides a milder working strength for more sensitive decal applications.

When applied after the decal is positioned and excess moisture has been removed, Scalecoat ProSet helps the decal conform to rivets, seams, recessed panel lines, and other surface details for a more realistic finish. In some applications, it may also assist in loosening certain factory pad-printed lettering, though results will vary depending on ink and paint type.

Directions

Position decal using water and gently remove excess moisture. Once the decal is properly positioned and mostly dry, apply a small amount of ProSet over the decal and allow it to soften and conform to surface detail. Do not touch the decal while it is softening. Allow to dry completely before additional handling.

Note: Test first on scrap decals or a small hidden area before full use, especially on delicate decals, custom decals, digital decals, pad printing, or sensitive painted finishes.
