Scalecoat ProFlux – Precision Model Soldering Flux
Scalecoat ProFlux is a precision liquid soldering flux developed specifically for scale model builders. Designed for use on brass, copper, nickel silver, and mild steel, ProFlux promotes smooth solder flow and strong, clean joints when assembling brass locomotive kits, etched metal parts, and craftsman model kits.
Packaged in a 2 oz glass bottle with a full-length brush cap, Scalecoat ProFlux allows modelers to apply flux exactly where it is needed for precise soldering without flooding delicate details. The brush applicator makes it easy to control application on small joints and tight spaces common in detailed model work.

Directions for Use
- Ensure metal surfaces are clean before soldering.
- Apply a small amount of Scalecoat ProFlux directly to the joint using the brush cap.
- Heat the joint and apply solder.
- After soldering, thoroughly wash the model with warm water and mild soap to remove flux residue.
Cleanup
Residue from Scalecoat ProFlux is water soluble. After soldering, rinse the model thoroughly with warm water and mild detergent to remove any remaining flux.
If a spill occurs, the liquid may be neutralized with a small amount of baking soda, then wiped clean and rinsed with water.
Important Note
Flux residue should always be removed after soldering to help prevent corrosion and to properly prepare models for priming and painting.
Scalecoat ProFlux is designed for serious scale model builders who need dependable solder flow and precise control when working on detailed metal models.
